The Elko County School District is Nevada's third largest school district. Under the leadership of our Board of Trustees, Superintendent Antoinette Cavanaugh, and site administrators, we are committed to high academic standards and achievement for all of our students.

Elko County School District promotes a culture of high academic achievement of its students, encourages high performance standards of its employees, and continually strives to maintain a climate in which all students can learn at high levels in every school.

Saturday, November 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Grammar #2 Elementary School Gym
Sunday, November 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Sage Elementary School


Vaccines are available to those individuals who are in the high risk categories including: pregnant women, people who live with and care for children younger than 6 months of age, health care and emergency medical service personnel, persons between the ages of 6 months and 24 years old, people 25 through 64 years of age with chronic health disorders.  Clinics are free of charge and vaccines will remain open until closing time unless all vaccines are used earlier.

Career Fair

The ECSD Annual Career Fair was held on Tuesday, November 17, at the Elko Convention Center. The Career Fair is designed to expose junior and senior students to prospective employers and educational institutions. The Career Fair is possible due to a Nevada A.C.C.E.S.S. Grant through the Nevada Public Education Foundation.

November STARS of the Month

 

Mary Ann Kenley, Assistant to the Superintendent, was recognized as November STARS of the Month! She has been with the school district for 31 years and has worked for six different Superintendents. Mary Ann was presented a $50 gift certificate to Haley's and a bouquet of flowers.

Cody Krenka, Elko High School Government and Leadership Teacher, was recognized as November STARS of the Month! Cody has been an employee of the ECSD for 10 years and is a product of the Elko County School District. He was presented a $50 gift certificate to Big 5.
